Safety when Traveling:
- Stay alert. Even though you may be on vacation, remember that you may be in unfamiliar territory which means you need to be careful.
- Try to travel during daylight hours especially if you are traveling alone.
- Know where you are going and how you are going to get there before you travel.
- Keep wallets secure by putting a rubber band around them or, better yet, wear trousers that have button pockets to keep your wallet safe.
- Purses with zippers and flaps are less likely to be targeted by pick-pockets.
- If you are in a waiting area or are making a phone call, carry your purse with you and place your bags between your legs.
